We invite Cameroonians to personally hand over or communicate by mail, e-mail or phone a motion for democracy and against Biya to the
French consulate in their region, the French embassy in their resident country, the French Minister of foreign affairs, the French Prime
Minister or to French President Nicolas Sarkozy ahead of or on French national day this July 14, 2011.

Fully aware that we Cameroonians are ultimately sole responsible for our situation, faith and destiny without any exception, excuse or alibi;
knowing that only Biya and his government shall be called upon for the horrible state of our country; knowing that it is Biya and his friends in crime who sold out Cameroon for their own selfish interest and ego and thereby failed to fulfil their duty to protect Cameroon’s interests;

Aware that it is Cameroonians’ duty to force their government to listen, respect and serve them instead of abusing them; conscious of the
fact that the Biya’s regime is playing with Cameroonians’ patriotism and emotions by decrying foreign interference while purchasing arms
from abroad to terrorise the Cameroonian people, thereby trying to misleadingly gain Cameroonians’ sympathy;

aware that the Biya’s regime is trying to use tricks to ignore legitimate calls for democracy from both the Cameroonian people and the international community by finding a new friend in the Chinese dictatorship that itself oppresses liberties, human rights and democratic revolution in China;

we accuse the French government for its complicity, tolerance and support for the Cameroonian dictatorship that betrays and terrorises its own people, commits crimes against them and impoverishes its own nation by theft and misappropriation of public funds and goods. Therefore, we call on France to assume its responsibility by contributing to ouster Biya whom France put and maintained in power for decades.

We call on France to reconcile with the Cameroonian and African people by rejecting Biya and his friends in crime and by clearly embracing strong, sovereign, independent and transparent democratic institutions in Cameroon and Africa, by standing up for freedom, human rights and dignity as applied in France.

We call on France to be true to its own values expressed in its motto “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity” Biya has been at the top of the Cameroonian dictatorship since independence, first as Secretary General to the President, then as Prime Minster and now as President. As such, he is, more than anybody else, responsible for the miserable state of Cameroon. Therefore, he has completely lost legitimacy, and has neither the popular support nor the capabilities to lead Cameroon’s transition into a modern democracy.

Biya has completely lost the trust of Cameroonian people because he changed the constitution and the 2 mandate limit in 2008 clearly
against public interest, at the cost of risking instability and just for his selfish and blind greed to hang on to power. He shall just step aside to allow a patriot, respected by the public and by the civil society to head a transitional government of national unity that will coordinate the creation of strong, sovereign, transparent and independent institutions and two-round Presidential elections.

France shall recognise that it would have been in its own interest to back Oum Nyobe, Moumié, Wandji, Affana, Ntumazah, Mongo Beti,
Woungly-Massaga and their movement for independence, and that it is also in France’s interest today to fully back the Cameroonian people
in this crucial moment of exploding democratic revolutionary movements. France and the West shall support democracy in Africa now that
Biya and his colleagues see the Chinese dictatorship as a model to follow in order to indefinitely stay in power while detesting the leadership alternation practiced even in the Chinese government. The development of Asian democracies such as Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the city of Hong Kong, substantial progresses in emerging African democracies such as Ghana, Mali and Benin, the excellent relationships between all these countries and western democracies clearly prove that sovereign, strong, democratic and modern Cameroon and Africa are in France’s own interest and a much better and reliable partner in all aspects and for all future challenges.

We have been following the massive deportation of our brothers and sisters of African descent from France and are asking Sarkozy where
he is deporting these refugees to. These people are fleeing from inhuman living conditions caused by dictators like Biya who destroy,
impoverish and terrorise their own nation leaving the crushing majority of Cameroonians praying to leave their motherland for political or
economical reasons at the first opportunity to find refuge abroad.

Sarkozy is obliged to match his determination to deport its illegal residents of African descent with an unyielding push to distance himself from dictators like Biya and his colleagues and to closely collaborate to ouster them in order for Africa to develop and host its children. In the absence of such a policy, France will never cease to be a magnet for thousands of African legal and illegal immigrants who risk their lives to escape poverty, unemployment, hopelessness, hunger, lack of basic medical treatment and clean water, and so on. France shall categorically stop dealing with Biya and his government, impose strong sanctions against them, freeze all their funds and fortune and seek to see them face justice if they selfishly hang on to power, risk civil war which would again force France to intervene, waste its resources and be distracted from solving pressing problems of its own people.

We demand the resignation of the old, tired and repressive dictator Biya; strong independent democratic institutions; free and fair two-round Presidential elections; respect for human rights, freedom of expression and peaceful protests; a stop to the harassment, intimidation, arrest and torture of journalists, and of Kah Walla, Jean Marie Atangana Mebara, Paul Eric Kingue, Titus Edzoa , Essomba Urbain, Louis Tobie Mbida, Abba Aboubakar, Olinga Cyprien, Jean-Michel Nintcheu, Mboua Massock, Jean Marc Bikoko, Billy Batipe, Dibonji Bruno, Bouba Michel, Nyamsi Patrick, Adoueme Aimé, Anicet Ekane, Abanda Kpama, Lapiro de Mbanga and others; a stop to any form of brutality against them and the immediate release of all political detainees.

Join us; let’s be actors, not observers of the revolution that will bring the stability that we deserve. There has never been and there will
probably never be a better time for change than now. We will accomplish our mission! “YES, WE CAN!”

We are a group of patriotic Cameroonians of all origins. We are aware that sovereign, strong, independent and transparent democratic
institutions are a pre-requisite for stability, unity, peace, justice and widespread prosperity. We are mindful of our unity, love our united and inclusive country and are proud of our diversity
